Home-Start Erewash

Support & Information

Home-Start's trade mark early intervention model includes training and matching volunteers with families from all walks of life, who are finding it difficult to cope, by providing non-judgmental, practical and emotional support. Home-Start helps parents find ways to manage and resolve their difficulties before they become more serious.
Each local Home-Start is an independent charity.  Home-Start Erewash is funded by The National Lottery Community Fund, The coalfields regeneration trust, Henry Smith, Garfield Weston, Foundation Derbyshire and the Big Lottery.  It is highly rated by both statutory and non-statutory funder's as a value for money, professional tailor-made service supporting families.
OUR AIMS

  • Support and improve parental mental health
  • Reduce the impact of isolation through peer support
  • Remove  the barriers that prevent families from seeking support for mental ill health
  • Strengthen parent-child relationships
  • Develop and improve parenting skills
  • Improve children's health, wellbeing and development
  • Increase access to health, education and community services
